The ‘finishing line’ is in sight – we made it baby! Or have we? I’m never quite sure considering how the world’s been going lately but at least we have a date – on Monday 21st June we should all be allowed to have some semblance of a ‘normal’ life again, lockdown will officially be over. So why is it that I don’t feel excited as I thought I would be. Have the multiple false promises, failed ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ campaigns and ‘Gotcha’ moments desensitized me? I think it’s because I’m waiting for the other figurative shoe to drop.
That ‘shoe’ is going to drop, trust me – it’s inevitable because there’s always a catch when it comes to these things but until then I guess we just prepare ourselves for the U.K’s first ever ThanksgivingIndependence Day™.
Sorry for the short blog, I’ve been busy so haven’t had much of a chance to really think of something to write about this month. Don’t worry, by ‘busy’ I mean of the healthy variety so between now and the next blog just flag this a placeholder. Drinks on me from the 21st June 2021.
Love,
Melly
